CityChalet Terms & Conditions
It is important to us that you can enjoy your holidays in Interlaken seamlessly and to the fullest with no uncomfortable surprises.
Therefore hereby we list our terms and conditions around your stay at CityChalet so everything is transparent and clear.
If any questions come up, please drop us a message in the request form below. We're looking forward to welcome you on our Jungfrau Region soon.
Check-in
Check-in is on your arrival day any time from 4pm earliest. If you arrive earlier, of course you can park the car or drop your bags in the assigned luggage room and have a first walk in Interlaken. We do not have a reception, common rooms or bathrooms to use before check-in.
Check-out
Check-out is on your departure at 10am latest. Surely you can leave your car and luggage here for a while. Take care of your apartment key, replacing a lost key will cost you CHF250.
Services
You are renting a non-serviced non-catered apartment. We cannot provide intermediate cleaning, towel change, catering, transportation, concierge or any other services, also not at extra cost.
Final Cleaning
The final cleaning service is included in the rental fee. Nevertheless, the apartment has to be left in decent condition among western standards. Additional cleaning is charged to the guest at CHF60 per hour.
Consumables and Groceries
The rental fee includes bed-, bath and kitchen linen. Toilet paper, hand soap, dishwashing liquid and detergents are included for the 1st day. There is no shower or bath soap and for hygienical reasons also no food (like oil, spices, etc.) provided whatsoever. Nearby grocery stores are open daily until 8pm.
Smoking and Open Fire
These are wooden Chalets. Smoking or open fire inside the buildings is strictly prohibited, also near open windows. Any violations terminate the entire rental contract instantly without any refunds and an extra charge of CHF1’000 for cleaning and deodorizing is due on the spot. The guest will be held liable for any further cost.
Parties and Events
CityChalet is a holiday resort for quiet leisure-, activity- and study time for families and small groups with night peace from 10pm. We explicitly do not want parties or any other loud activities in and around our apartments.
Recycling and Garbage
Recycling and waste separation is law here. There are easy to follow labeled containers for the various wastes in our recycling compartment.
Ecology and Energy
We try to operate with biggest possible respect to the environment and expect the guest to support us with an ecologic behavior: no overheating, no windows left open, no lights left on and moderate warm water use.
Damages
The guest is fully liable for any damages on the building, furnishings and inventory, explicitly water damages by flooding bathrooms. The tenant will be charged for all cleaning-, repair- and replacement cost immediately.
Cancellation and Refunds
30% of the rental fee is due at booking time to confirm the reservation by credit card (MasterCard, VISA, AmEx), bank payment or PayPal (+5%). The balance is due on arrival in cash (CHF, EUR, GBP or USD at daily exchange rate), debit- or credit card (MasterCard, VISA, AmEx) or TWINT. If you book through a booking portal like Booking.com, AirBnB or similar, their corresponding conditions apply.
Legal
You are engaging in a short term rental contract under Swiss jurisdiction with the registered company CityChalet, Marktgasse 66, 3800 Interlaken. Legal domicile on all matters of the apartment rental is Regionalgericht Oberland in Thun, Switzerland. By using our website, you are in consent of our privacy policy found here.
